Whatever happened to racking horses??????

I grew up in the 70's and back in those days a Racking horse was a fast stepping, up in the bridle, sharp looking horse. Recently have been looking around to try and find me a new horse, and honestly I am having a real hard time finding a decent racking horse. Back when, even a keg shod racking horse was up in the bridle, and fun to ride. Now don't get me wrong there are lots of good walking horses these days, and plenty of them can rack, but sure is hard to find one who really...

government was at show. i didn't go, stayed home and gave out candy to trick or treaters (we get about 200).
one horse from the barn i'm in went. low entries. they won their class, was the only one in class (country pleasure racking).

I have to say the mules was great to see and hope they will have them back. It was great watching them getting ready as we was getting our padded horses ready.It was so cool to see the work they do getting them ready for a class. This was my first time going to the world and it was the best show i ever went to. The people ,food .show and wow the front of them barns was great they did a great job getting the warm up place and the ring in great shape.

Condolences to the Tommy Laney family on the death of Delight's Dago. He apparently suffered a heart attack on Sunday. He was 29. Many of us old timer's remember him and enjoyed watching this special horse throughout his career. I know Dago was a very special part of the Laney family.

Her reg'd name is Blazing Delight, she's a black 1990 model. Sire is Oil Stock's Delight. Based on her papers, she was bred by someone by the name of "Ball" in York, SC and taken to auction by a guy named Puckett,...
