USDA at local saddle club show

I finally got to go to a show today & ya might know it, about three miles from the show grounds the rain started (we only live about 30 minutes from this one). Glad to have the rain but the ring looked like a lake. We went on in & had lunch (good HOME cooking!) & then left. Just got a phone call that the USDA pulled in right after we left - 8 inspectors with police escort. Not sure of all the details but I was told two were hit for the scar rule & one for toe too short....

Y'all try your best to support this show this weekend. They always have a ton of racking classes (20), great food, good vendors & a silent auction with some really nice stuff. The judge is a really nice guy though I have never seen him judge - I feel like he will be an honest judge (refreshing thought). If gas prices are limiting your shows this year, I hope you will make this one a "must show". If you need a class sheet, lemme know & I'll getcha one.

Praise the Lord and roll Tide. I now have DSL and am free from dial-up. I can read posts at the drop of a hat and send replies just as fast. Well........., I may be just a little slower sending than receiving (You know,,,,,spelling and stuff like that) . Anyway, maybe I can now have time to converse a little now.

There was a Speed Racker that went by the name "Super Fly" that was owned by Gene Moore. Does anyone have any pictures/info on this horse?

Men's Open Speed & Ladies Open Speed

I was wondering if someone can answer my question? The RHBAA World Celebration used to have a men's Open Speed and a Ladies Open Speed these where always good classses with a good amount of horses. Why was theses clases removed from the class sheet and only Open Shod Speed was added? You really only lost one class which was a real good class. The Ladies & Mens classes where always full.

The 2008 CKRHA Racking Horse Classic will be May 17, 2008 at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds in Stanford, KY.

We will be having a SILENT AUCTION featuring Stud Fees. A total of 31 stud fees have been donated to CKRHA by various barns and stables. The complete list includes World Champion Walking Horses, World Champion Racking Horses and Great Colored Pleasure Horses. Here is a list of all the stallions.

I just read part on the decatur daily online that the arena was sold. You have to get a subscription to read it online now. Anyone know the details? I'm going to pick up a paper afterwhile and read about it. What's going to happen to RHBAA now?

This my Mean Old Mare and my favorite. She had a filly last year so she sat out last show season. We're so happy to have her back under saddle.

What's the max shoe size? I read the bylaws PDF on the website, but can't seem to determine if they wear a smaller shoe than the other flatshod classes or not... is a 3/8 x 3/4 Lite Shod shoe legal?

Going to Cullman this weekend to show racking for the first time... don't wanna get turned down for the wrong shoes!

I am in need of a racking horse farrier who services north central Alabama... Birmingham area. It's just for one horse, so I am willing to haul her to meet up with the farrier to save a one-horse barn call. I need someone who is familiar with the general rules of RHBAA show classes and can watch a horse go and tell what it needs as far as angles, hind trailers, etc. And who is willing to keep my horse SOUND.

Horse is trying to drop a shoe right now, so I need a farrier ASAP!!!...
