Paso Fino

Does anyone know how a paso fino head should be set? Are they tucked or higher headed? My daughter is riding a young horse for a friend. She has him going at 3 speeds but we don't know about the head set. Also, is there a canter?

Anyone ever ridden a Marsh Tacky? Its a rare breed in SC and I've heard some of them are gaited. Just wondered how the ride was relative to the Paso Fino's i'm familiar with.

We are in the middle of a 100 year drought in our area forcing us to sell some our gaited mules. Hay is $80 for a round bale and we have been feeding hay since June!

We had 2 terrific gaited mule foals this year, Tucker is a black foxtrotting mule foal out of my MFT mare and our gaited mammoth jack. He's refined and has a nice rear end for a mule. Sweetheart is a lovely sorrel molly with a star. She can foxtrot too but her favorite gait is a running walk. She's going to be a big girl and great bone. She is also by our gaited jack. Hey----Is there anybody on this list that has Mountain horses???? I have a padded TWH, & am soon getting a weanling Mt-horse (sire is double registered Rocky & KY----Dam is KY), that I hope to eventually show in the Country Pleasure Class-----and maybe some of the Mt-horse shows as well.......

I need more info on these Mt-horses, as compared to other gaited Breeds........

Tucker is a 15.3 hand mule solid black with little brown on his head.. easy temperment and will cross most all things found on trails. He is not spooky and will gait some.. needs more saddle time to get a good gait.
