Pacing is alot better then trotting especially in young colts being broke! Alot of trainers will tell you to just pace them! I do dout that your horse will make a trail pleasure horse due to the "bouncy" But it should definatly walk the "big lick"! Maybe you can even try a starter pad " pads on keg shoe" wether its walking horse or not! Timing is everything so do alot of dog walkin but maybe even more of a sloppy head shakin dog walk letting your horse get the fill of the pad it's not going to take right to it but in a months time of riding and gettin that saddle pad wet you will be able to tell a difference! If your not into the pad maybe throw on some chains and alot of grease!!!! Pretty much the same thing!

They say he will do a walk in the pasture but also paces. I want a pleasure horse not a padded one.

All I want is a good trail horse that will walk & not jar whoever rides him teeth out. I also would like to use him to breed so want something that will do a walk.
